Gabbie Bday, Move, and Berkeley
So lots to catch up on.
Gabbie's birthday was last month on 10/23 and we had a surprise party for her. She says she was geniunely surprised and did not expect a party! Danni and Ali set it up and we had a small party for the wife.
Here is the cake! We got it at Sugarbowl who did our wedding cake too!

So after all that we moved again. If you have seen Gabbie's blog you would have seen some photos. We moved to Albany to rent a cute little 2 bed 1 bath house with a 1 bed 1 bath cottage in the back where Danni lives. Its a block off Solano and lets us walk to Safeway, cafes, and too many restaurants. We spend like 3 weeks slowly moving stuff over and last friday I had 2 of my laborers help me move with the huge uhaul truck, 26 footer. It was a stick shift and had the bus driver steering wheel. I felt like I was driving the long yellow bus to school!
We have been living there now for a week. Its quite and we had a skunk so it was stinky too. The house is a mess and we are trying to unpack and learn to live with smaller bedrooms but bigger living area.
So moving to Albany means new commutes and living way too close to the Peoples Republic of Berkeley. We basically live on the border where there probably should be a wall, towers, and men with guns.
Three things I have noticed about Berkeley.
1. Men have lots of facial hair. Women too.
2. It must be the bumper sticker capital of the world. I mean if I read another anit-Bush or environmental sticker I'll puke. Which is ironic, environmental bumper sticker on a car???
3. People are cranky. Both these hippies sure are angry about everything. If its not organic it sucks. If it pollutes it sucks. If it is not left wing it sucks. If you don't compost enough you're a pig.
Below is a car I saw that was definetely out of place in Berkeley. Its hard to see but its a huge truck with all sorts of Texas and Cowboy stickers all over it. Funny! Notice the big cowboy cutout and the mudflaps! I'm sure the Berkeley crusties were flamming mad!
oh yeah. Started a new position. I work in Land Acquisitions now. So if you got land or know somebody who wants to sell a condo infill project I am your man! I'm in the main office so now I have to wear a tie..... ugh. more on that later
